Call for Workshops

The Organizing Committee of SPLC 2008 invites submissions for workshop proposals.

Following the tradition of the series of SPLC conferences, this edition will host a number of workshops. The purpose of the workshop program is to provide a platform for bringing together people from industry, academia, and research institutions to present and discuss experiences and practices in the area of software product line development. Workshops that address the specific needs of major industry sectors such as automotive, mobile communications, and medical systems are particularly welcome.

Workshops should be organised as full day events; they are expected to be arranged on the first conference day, September 8, 2008 (check the SPLC web site for information about the program).

Proposals for workshops (max. three pages) should contain:

  • Title of the workshop
  • Summary of the workshop including
    • Description of objectives in relation to the conference
    • List of workshop topics
    • Intended audience
  • Preliminary schedule for the workshop
  • Preliminary dates for workshop submissions
  • Name, postal address, phone number, and email address of main organiser (primary contact, one person only please)
  • Name, postal address, phone number, and email address of co-organisers 
  • References to previous workshops (e.g., web sites) - if applicable
  • Technical requirements (beamer, whiteboard etc.)

A one-page summary of each accepted workshop will be published in the SPLC proceedings.

The summary should include a motivation, a list of workshop topics, and references (max. 3 references). A template for submitting your workshop summary is available.

All workshop proposals must conform to the IEEE proceedings 8.5x 11", two-column format. A template for submitting your proposal is available.
